Frequently Asked Questions

Clarity on our process, costs, and your rights.

Is the legal review genuinely free?

Yes. The initial case review requires zero financial commitment and there's no obligation to do anything after. We evaluate your standing and outline your options. You decide from there.

Will this inquiry impact my credit score?

No. Requesting a review has zero impact on your credit. We do not run credit checks as part of the review process.

What if legal action has already been taken against me?

Contact us immediately. We can still help, and timing matters when a lawsuit has been filed. The sooner we can review your case, the more options you may have.

How long does the review take?

Most reviews are completed within 2–3 business days from the time we have all the information we need. Complex cases — especially those involving multiple loans or tribal lenders — may take slightly longer.

What states do you serve?

We serve clients across the United States, with a few exceptions where state law restricts our services. When you submit the form, we'll let you know right away if we can help in your state.

Do I need my original loan documents to begin?

No. The initial review only requires basic information: lender name, approximate loan amount, and your state. If we need copies of your loan documents to complete the evaluation, we'll walk you through exactly what to send.

What if I can't find my loan documents?

That's fine. Most lenders are required to provide loan documents on request, and we can help you request them if needed. Missing documents don't disqualify you from a review.

Are tribal loans immune to state laws?

Tribal lenders often claim sovereign immunity to avoid state lending laws, but that claim is not always valid. Many tribal loan arrangements have been successfully challenged. If your loan is from a tribal lender, it's worth having it reviewed.

What if I've already paid off the loan?

You may still have options. In some cases, borrowers who paid on illegal loans have been able to recover money after the fact. Submit a review and we'll tell you if it's worth pursuing.

Is Cordoba Legal Group a law firm?
